DON'T MESS WITH BOOTY LUV'S MAN!

...
What an amazing R&B/Dance track! I am absolutely loving Booty Luv at the moment and although I miss the melodies of Big Brovaz I can see that this project has brought success for the ladies and for that I am happy! What do you make of the track? I really like it equally as I liked 'Boogie 2nite' and 'Shine'! I am loving how they always do covers of R&B choons and cannot wait to see what gems they produce on their upcoming debut album set for a release in September! Please let me know what you think of this track! Below is the video if you would like to see it! They have had better videos than this but it matches the song, and for that I love it! Enjoy!

BOOTY LUV ARE SHINING!

Booty Luv Shine
...
I was actually going to post this a while ago when I bought the single but a loyal visitor just requested it and it reminded me to post it! So here it is! This is the second single from Booty Luv, who some of you may recognise from the now defunct :( Big Brovaz, who have I think disbanded due to very poor record sales! Back in November 2006 Booty Luv released their first single a cover of Tweets 'Boogie 2Nite' which hit the top 10 and stayed in the top 40 UK Charts until about March, so the girls of Big Bro were showing their true potential remixing R&B tunes to dance beat. Their second single 'Shine' a cover of the Luther Vandross tune, was released two weeks ago and is still impacting the UK Top 10! I love this song and you Booty Luv fans should be glad to hear that an album of R&B covers is planned for September/October! Keep it locked to UK Rep for more info! Please let me know what u think! Or at the least please say thank you if you download!

EUROVISION: MAKING YOUR MIND UP

VOTING LINES ARE NOW CLOSED!!! DO NOT RING OR TEXT!!!
Remember a few weeks ago I told you about the Eurovision Song Contest! Well today in the UK on BBC ONE we get the chance to vote for the act that we want to represent the UK in May! Tune in to BBC One at 7:30pm where you will hear all the songs performed LIVE and then tune back in at 9:30pm for the results. And don't forget to vote for your fave!!! Here are the details:

Here are the details to vote for Scooch! They were fairly succesful in 2002 but they were overshadowed by 'S Club 7' and 'Steps'. I really used to like them! Now not so much, that was until I heard the song for the first time today! It's a catchy little number which could do well at the Eurovision! Visit www.myspace.com/scoochworld to hear the track! And don't forget to come back and tell me what you thought! Don't forget to vote for SCOOCH call 09011 110 845 or text SONG 5 to 82222!

Now this is what I'm talking about! Big Brovaz are my favourite UK Urban act by a mile (see my 'INTRODUCNG... BIG BROVAZ' post a few posts down), and 'Big Bro Thang' is a great song and the video is nothing short of AMAZING! So as you can tell, yes I do like this song and I really do hope they win and go through to the final in May and represent the UK as they are a true representation of what the UK music scene is all about! Even if they don't go thorugh support them all the way (if you live in the UK) and buy their single out MONDAY 19 MARCH and their album 'Re-Entry' on APRIL 09!!! Visit www.myspace.com/bigbrovaznew to hear their track 'Big Bro Thang'. Don't forget to come back and tell me what you thought of the song! Don't forget to vote for BIG BROVAZ and call 09011 110 843 o text SONG 3 to 82222!

Brian Harvey is the next contender and he used to be in british boyband 'East-17' before they split they did come back recently for a few gigs in nightclubs but one that I went to the band turned up but he DIDN'T!!! Anyway I've never been a fan, but I heard'I Can' this morning for the first time on his myspace and I LOVE IT I know, I should be loyal to BIg Brovaz butn this song is really good! Good enough for Eurovision? I don't think so but it should definitely be released as a single! I would buy it! Visit www.myspace.com/brianharveyoffical to hear the fantastic powerful track (sound better with the volume RIGHT UP!!!). Don't forget if you want to vote for Brian Harvey then call 09011 110 842 or text SONG 2 to 82222!

Liz McClarnon used to be in British girlband 'Atomic Kitten' who split up in 2005, but they are actually getting back together! I know, I can't keep up with bands splitting and coming back! Anyway, this song is OK, if I was a girl, then I would probably like it more, but I'm not so I don't! To hear the track visit www.myspace.com/lizmcclarnon to hear the track! Any girls out ther tell me what you think please! If you want to vote for Liz McClarnon call 09011 110 841 or text SONG 1 to 82222!

Yet another was in a band, went solo, went back to the band, left and now has gone solo! I know, popworlds gone crazy recently!!!! Anyway let me give you the back story. Justin Hawkins used to be in a band called 'The Darkness' and was the lead singer, their biggest hit was 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' he had a solo record under the name of 'British Whale' that didn't do well so he went back to the band, had an album that flopped!, so left the band and is now teaming up with unknown soul singer Beverlei Brown on the track 'Don't Make 'Em'. For some reason this is the bookies favourite to WIN! I heard it first time this morning and can say that Beverlei's vocals are amazing but I'm not feeling the track or Justin so it's a no from me but apparently it's a yes for the public. To hear the track and judge for yourself visit www.myspace.com/beverleibrown and report back to me please to tell me what you thought! If you want to vote for Justin & Beverlei (and I really hope you don't) call 09011 110 846 or text SONG 6 to 82222!

Who is your favourite? Scooch? Big Brovaz? Brian Harvey? Liz McClarnon? Justin & Beverelei? or Cyndi? - oh yeah I didn't tell you bou Cyndi did I well thats because I cannot find any information on her! She hasn't got a website or a MySpace I can;t find the numbers to vote for her! And she is to be fair, FRENCH so I don't think she should represent the UK! Do you?

VOTING LINES ARE NOW CLOSED!!! DO NOT RING OR TEXT!!!

Please listen to the tracks and do tell me what you think! I went to a lot of effort on this post so comment would be really nice!

INTRODUCING... Big Brovaz Update

A few days ago I introduced to you UK Urban act Big Brovaz. Well, last night it was officially said that Big Brovaz are one of the final six acts battling it out to represent the Uk in the Eurovision Song Contest in May!!! Alongside Big Brovaz competing for the honour are 90's cheese pop group 'Scooch', ex 'The Darkness' member 'Justin Hawkins featuring Beverlei Brown', ex-Atomic Kitten 'Liz McClarnon', ex-'East-17' 'Brian Harvey' and unknown French pop singer that goes by the name of 'Candi'. I personally hope Big Brovaz all the best and hope that they do go through and represent the UK t Eurovision. The usual Eurovision sound is Cheesy Pop but this is all about to change as Big Brovaz take the UK Urban scene global!!! The song they have chosen to use is 'Big Bro Thang'. Because the final act is chosen on Saturday March 17 LIVE on TV, then they will no longer be ALLOWED to release their single on March 5 pushing their release dates back even further!!! But don't panic the single will finally be released March 19 with the album pushed back to April 9!!! If you live in the UK please please please vote for BIG BROVAZ on 'Making Your Mind Up' on BBC on Saturday March 17, the day after Red Nose Day!!!!

INTRODUCING... Big Brovaz (UK Act)

Hey guy's here is another one of my 'INTRODUCING...' posts and this time it's the UK urban group 'Big Brovaz'. They first burst onto the UK urban scene in 2002 as a 20-piece when they released a mixtape called 'Big Brovaz-Watching You', and due to the success of this mixtape they were signed by a major label, but now as a six-piece. The group then went on to gain commercial success in 2002 with their debut album 'Nu Flow'. The single 'Nu Flow' debuted into the #3 spot in UK charts whilst the album reached a peak of number #6. They later went on to have three top 10 singles including 'OK', 'Baby Boy' and Favourite Things' which went on to become their biggest hit to date entering the UK Singles chart at #2. Their fifth single from the album 'Ain't What You Do' was their first single to chart outside the top 10 and reached a dissapointing #15. This led them to leave their debut album alone and concentrate on releasing new material. They came back in 2004 wih a new song 'I Wanna Thank You' which came from the 'Scooby Doo 2 OST' and was their lowest charting position at the time and went in at #17. Things werent's looking good for the band and when member Flawless was caught smuggling cannabis at LAX Airport and due to the groups 'No Drugs' image he was sacked from them group leaving them with only five members. They went on to release what was going to be their first single 'Yours Fatally' from their second album at the end of 2004 and reached a better but still dissapointing #15. This led to their second album being pushed back to a much later date. In 2006 they made an official COMEBACK and their new single was called 'Hangin' Around' and it was revealed that they were now a four-piece after member Dion wanted to start a family in Australia. The single was their most dissapointing single to date and barely made the top 75 UK singles at #57! Also in 2006 a documentary on Channel 4 followed meber J-Rock for a whole month as he tried to get off weed, and even admitted that he never did a proffesional engagement with the group until he'd had a spliff which questions the groups 'No Drugs' image and qquestions were reaised as to why he wasn't saked from teh group and ex-member Flawless was!!! Their second album 'Re-Entry was then pushed back to April '06, then June '06, then September '06, then November '06 and then came the end of 2006 and still no signe of their second studio album 'Re-Entry'. At the beginning of 2007 the video for their new single 'Big Bro Thang' surfaced on their website and along with the album was set to be released in January but once again the release date was pushed back. Things weren't looking good for the group and their single has been given a CONCRETE release date of March 5 and the album 'Re-Entry was given a CONCRETE release date of March 19 so whether they do promotion or not these are the final release dates and it cannot be pushed back even further. I am a huuuuge fan of Big Brovaz and would urge any person reading this in the Uk to buy their single and album in march to secure their record deal and place them back where they belong at the top of the charts! As a taster i have put their new single 'Big Bro Thang' up for download!!!
