Kanye West has said that Justin Timberlake is his "biggest inspiraton and his biggest competition"! Kanye is quoted in the October issue of 'XXL' as saying "He's the only other person that gets an across-the-board response and respect level black radio, white radio. If Justin hadn't come out and killed the game, I can't say that my album, singles and videos would be on the same level that they're on. We push each other. I look at me and Justin like Prince and Michael Jackson in their day." Despite being number 1 in the UK at the moment he claims that he's "never cared about being No. 1." and prefers his music to connect with people rather than compete for record sales! Is Kanye getting a bit too big for his boots? Or is it just a slight dig at 50 Cent, saying that they are on the same level and getting to number 1 does not determine success! What's your opinion on Kanye? I'd love to hear it!

In an exclusive interview for BBC 1Xtra recently, R. Kelly revealed that he has made thirty... yes THIRTY chapters for his 'Trapped In The Closet' series! Is he going a bit over the top now with this story, at first there were only six, ten it reached twelve and he is now releasing Chapters 13-22 but it seems he is not content wth just 22 and has done more!!! I mean seriously, how much more can this story go on for? I am still eager to hear them all but I would also like the mp3's of the chapters to be released on a CD and not just on DVD! So Kels, if you're listening (lol) please release all thirty or so chapters on a CD! Are you looking forward to his next chapters?

Amy Winehouse has left rehab for a second time on Sunday (August 19)! This is not a good sign! I was really happy that she went back to rehab because I do fear for her health and do not want to lose her music and I want her to be healthy enough to record new material! Winehouse walked out of 'The Causeway Clinic' in Britain on on following a series of screaming matches with her husband Blake! I really urge Amy to go BACK into rehab and I don't wanna hear her say 'No! No! No!' (lol)! What do you think Amy should do? What do you think about the news that she has left rehab again?

Is Mary J. Blige pregnant? Well, acording to some reports the answer is yes!!! It seems that Mary who is 36 years old, and her husband/manager Kendu Isaacs are expecting their first child as early as early 2008! A close family member has revealed that they have been trying for a baby for nearly a year, having got married in December 2003, and have finally succeeded! Mary is already stepmother to Kendu's three kids from a previous relationship! I am really happy to hear this news and cannot wait to see te first pics of what I'm sure will be a great looking child! I was hoping that she wuld release an album later this year as planned but I think that her new album has to be pushed back for the sake of her unborn child! Congrats Mary! UK REP'S UK CHART UPDATES!

Yes that's right! It's BACK!!! Every Monday I will bring you the latest goings on with the OFFICIAL UK Charts, Albums and Singles! So here is the latest news fom the UK charts! Enjoy! And be sure to comment on what you find out please!

Kanye West has scored his very first UK #1 single with the track 'Stronger' which knocked Robyn's 'With Every Heartbeat' from the top spot!

Mario made a respectable peak position at #21 with his BRAND NEW single 'How Do I Breathe'! This is not very bad at all considering that the song has not been played that much here in the UK and he has done absolutely NO promotion to help the record! Let's just hope that by the time the album drops in October we see some promotion!


Eve has also made an intersting appearance in the UK Singles Chart at #35! Again this is good because she has done NO promotion and the video I have only seen once on UK TV! The single is physically out this week so hopefully it will creep up a few places on next weeks chart! Although I'm sure that this is not a postition Eve will be happy with after a 5 year break!

Their previous single 'Cupid's Chokehold' was one of the BIGGEST selling singles of the year so far and it seems that their follow up 'Clothes Off' will follow in its footsteps having entered the chart at #8 on downloads alone and a week ahead of physical release! It is a great track and makes me wonder whether Patrick Stump should permanently join Gym Class Heroes as every track he features on becomes a huge hit!

Having been released to iTunes this week 'Ayo Technology' has proved a major HIT here in the UK with it reaching #23 in the UK Singles chart on downloads alone two weeks ahead of physical release (27 August)! It is amazing what power iTunes can have on the singles chart! I really hope this becomes a huge hit for him as the production from JT and Timbo is amazing and should be recognised! lol!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this track and the video has made me love it even further! I'd like to know whose idea it was to team Fiddy, JT and Timbo together, because whoever it was should be in high places! Great track! Great video! Nothing more really to say except that it was nice to see Timbo make an appearance in the video! I think Timbo's fashion of wearing suits really looks good on him and I am glad 50 has taken notice and worn a suit in this vid instead of the usual white vest lol! Also notice that the track, originally called 'Ayo Pornography', then 'Ayo Technology' then finally 'She Wants It' has changed back to the title 'Ayo Technology'! What do you make of the track/video?

A while back I posted the mp3 of this track, which I believed to be called 'I Get It' but now that 50 Cent has chosen to release it as a street single the title is infact 'I Get Money' (if you didn't download it before then you can download it above the video on this post! The video is alright, I am glad it is onl a street single though! I am really anticipating the video to 'She Wants It' wich features Justin Timberlake! It looks as though 50 Cent can make the great comeback many thought he couldn't! What do you think?

As I revealed in a previous news post, these two have teamed up on a track that's about watching porn! The track was going to be called 'Ayo Pornography' then changed to 'Ayo Technology' and now they have settled on the name 'She Wants It' which I think is a better name! The track is really good and I really didn't think I'd be saying this but 50's new album 'Curtis' out in September is definitely one to check out! So what do you make of the track? I am liking it especially as it was produced by my man Timbaland and written by Mr JT!

UK REP'S MUSIC NEWS: 03 July 2007

Alesha has posted this message on her MySpace: "Currently I am in the studio making a fresh album due for release in 2008. It's going fantastic, I can't wait for you to hear it ..." this is not very good for her fans (including myself) as this means that her debut album will not be released this year and I only pray to God that Knockdown, Superficial and Lipstick still make the final cut on the new album! What do you think?

Chris Brown's latest album is not loking good for the youngster! His new single 'Wall To Wall' has failed to make an impact in America and the video which goes with it is awful (in my opinion - many of you like it!)! The new single peaked at number 79 on the Billboard 100 but has already dropped to number 88 showing a lack of interest in the track! Jive records are apparently keen to gather up interest in Chris again by releasing a Stargate track soon, which has been described as a male version of 'Irreplaceable'! Will the album still be released Auguts 27/8? I don't know! What do you make of Chris's new material?

Timbaland has threatened to QUIT the music industry as he is bored with the industry! He claims that he is 'too innovative for the world' and that 'Musiv is boring right now'! I really hope he doesn't quit/retire from the music industry as whenever I hear that a track is produced by Timbaland, I know i'm gonna love the beat! His production is always amazing, and just look at Nelly Furtado, she wouldn't be where she is now if it wasn't for him! He has said this though, "I've been doing it so long, I'm about to throw in the towel. I'm about to de-crown myself and pass it over to one of the up-and-coming producers under me. They won't be able to be me - there's only one Timbaland - but there's a certain sound that I try to teach." This is quite sad news, what do you make of the news?

Fergie turned down the chance to perform with Justin Timberlake on Sunday so that she could perform at the Concert For Diana! The singer had been due to appear with Timberlake at a gig in Dublin, but snubbed Justin for the opportunity to perform at the Concert For Diana organised by the Princes, according to reports. Rapper 50 Cent ended up being called in as a last minute replacement for the star. Ferguson commented: "I guess I owe 50 a favour!" I personally think she should have stuck with Justin as she was a bit of a mess on Sunday! 'Big Girls Don't Cry' was decent but 'Glamorous' was awful!

Talking about Justin and 50, the pair according to reports in The Sun (UK Newspaper) reveal that the song, which has the working title 'Ayo Technology', is about watching dirty films. The single will feature on 50 Cent's forthcoming album Curtis. A source said: "The track is an analogy for watching porn. The word 'technology' was put in as a way to replace what they really wanted to say - 'pornography'."It's all about being fed up with having to make do watching dirty movies and how desperate they are for stunning girls to be in front of them doing what they do in the movies."The pair are set to shoot a video with LA video director Joseph Kahn, in London, this weekend. James Morrison has revealed that his second album will have a new rock sound.The singer admitted that he was "naive" when he recorded debut album Undiscovered, which reached the top of the UK charts last year. He is now planning to make some edgier music after developing his electric guitar skills."I really feel that I was quite naive when I was making my first album, so I would love to go back and record it all again," James told the Daily Star (UK Newspaper), "I'm happy with it, but I want to take on board all that I've learned from playing the songs live and then use that in the studio to make some proper rock 'n' roll music."I'm working on new stuff and have been messing around with the electric guitar. I'm not going to turn into Jimi Hendrix or anything like that, but I will up the noise a little." I think that this is good news! I really like his debut album which was released last summer, and I agree that upping the noise level would benefit the record! I hope the album is released soon, and also how heartfelt was his performance on Sunday at the Concert For Diana?

Nelly has changed the title to his new album from 'The Prelude' to 'Brass Knuckles'. When asked why he has named the album 'Brass Knuckles' he says it's because that best describes the how hard this record is gonna hit people! I am really looking forward to this album, but I hope that 'Cut It Out' doesn't make the final cut!

Someone did request these tracks yesterday, and I didn't know whether to post it as a request track or as a normal post. After a while pondering on my decision, I have decided to make a full post on Keri Hilson and these two new tracks! Her debut album 'In A Perfect World' is due out later this year! THese two tracks 'Come Clean' and 'Love Ya' are two confirmed tracks which will make the cut! I love this chick ever since I first heard of her through Timbaland, if you have Timbo's 'Shock Value' album, you'll recgnise this gal as she's all over the record! Timbaland is set to repay the favour and heavily produce her debut record as well as Justin Timberlake getting writing credits! What do you make of this girls voice I like her a lot!
