Kanye West has said that Justin Timberlake is his "biggest inspiraton and his biggest competition"! Kanye is quoted in the October issue of 'XXL' as saying "He's the only other person that gets an across-the-board response and respect level black radio, white radio. If Justin hadn't come out and killed the game, I can't say that my album, singles and videos would be on the same level that they're on. We push each other. I look at me and Justin like Prince and Michael Jackson in their day." Despite being number 1 in the UK at the moment he claims that he's "never cared about being No. 1." and prefers his music to connect with people rather than compete for record sales! Is Kanye getting a bit too big for his boots? Or is it just a slight dig at 50 Cent, saying that they are on the same level and getting to number 1 does not determine success! What's your opinion on Kanye? I'd love to hear it!
In an exclusive interview for BBC 1Xtra recently, R. Kelly revealed that he has made thirty... yes THIRTY chapters for his 'Trapped In The Closet' series! Is he going a bit over the top now with this story, at first there were only six, ten it reached twelve and he is now releasing Chapters 13-22 but it seems he is not content wth just 22 and has done more!!! I mean seriously, how much more can this story go on for? I am still eager to hear them all but I would also like the mp3's of the chapters to be released on a CD and not just on DVD! So Kels, if you're listening (lol) please release all thirty or so chapters on a CD! Are you looking forward to his next chapters?
Amy Winehouse has left rehab for a second time on Sunday (August 19)! This is not a good sign! I was really happy that she went back to rehab because I do fear for her health and do not want to lose her music and I want her to be healthy enough to record new material! Winehouse walked out of 'The Causeway Clinic' in Britain on on following a series of screaming matches with her husband Blake! I really urge Amy to go BACK into rehab and I don't wanna hear her say 'No! No! No!' (lol)! What do you think Amy should do? What do you think about the news that she has left rehab again? Is Mary J. Blige pregnant? Well, acording to some reports the answer is yes!!! It seems that Mary who is 36 years old, and her husband/manager Kendu Isaacs are expecting their first child as early as early 2008! A close family member has revealed that they have been trying for a baby for nearly a year, having got married in December 2003, and have finally succeeded! Mary is already stepmother to Kendu's three kids from a previous relationship! I am really happy to hear this news and cannot wait to see te first pics of what I'm sure will be a great looking child! I was hoping that she wuld release an album later this year as planned but I think that her new album has to be pushed back for the sake of her unborn child! Congrats Mary! Kanye West has scored his very first UK #1 single with the track 'Stronger' which knocked Robyn's 'With Every Heartbeat' from the top spot!
Mario made a respectable peak position at #21 with his BRAND NEW single 'How Do I Breathe'! This is not very bad at all considering that the song has not been played that much here in the UK and he has done absolutely NO promotion to help the record! Let's just hope that by the time the album drops in October we see some promotion! Eve has also made an intersting appearance in the UK Singles Chart at #35! Again this is good because she has done NO promotion and the video I have only seen once on UK TV! The single is physically out this week so hopefully it will creep up a few places on next weeks chart! Although I'm sure that this is not a postition Eve will be happy with after a 5 year break!
Their previous single 'Cupid's Chokehold' was one of the BIGGEST selling singles of the year so far and it seems that their follow up 'Clothes Off' will follow in its footsteps having entered the chart at #8 on downloads alone and a week ahead of physical release! It is a great track and makes me wonder whether Patrick Stump should permanently join Gym Class Heroes as every track he features on becomes a huge hit!
Having been released to iTunes this week 'Ayo Technology' has proved a major HIT here in the UK with it reaching #23 in the UK Singles chart on downloads alone two weeks ahead of physical release (27 August)! It is amazing what power iTunes can have on the singles chart! I really hope this becomes a huge hit for him as the production from JT and Timbo is amazing and should be recognised! lol!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this track and the video has made me love it even further! I'd like to know whose idea it was to team Fiddy, JT and Timbo together, because whoever it was should be in high places! Great track! Great video! Nothing more really to say except that it was nice to see Timbo make an appearance in the video! I think Timbo's fashion of wearing suits really looks good on him and I am glad 50 has taken notice and worn a suit in this vid instead of the usual white vest lol! Also notice that the track, originally called 'Ayo Pornography', then 'Ayo Technology' then finally 'She Wants It' has changed back to the title 'Ayo Technology'! What do you make of the track/video?
A while back I posted the mp3 of this track, which I believed to be called 'I Get It' but now that 50 Cent has chosen to release it as a street single the title is infact 'I Get Money' (if you didn't download it before then you can download it above the video on this post! The video is alright, I am glad it is onl a street single though! I am really anticipating the video to 'She Wants It' wich features Justin Timberlake! It looks as though 50 Cent can make the great comeback many thought he couldn't! What do you think?
As I revealed in a previous news post, these two have teamed up on a track that's about watching porn! The track was going to be called 'Ayo Pornography' then changed to 'Ayo Technology' and now they have settled on the name 'She Wants It' which I think is a better name! The track is really good and I really didn't think I'd be saying this but 50's new album 'Curtis' out in September is definitely one to check out! So what do you make of the track? I am liking it especially as it was produced by my man Timbaland and written by Mr JT!

Remember when I posted a few days back that Ciara has recently shot two music videos and I wasn't sure whether 50 Cent would appear? Well I can now reveal that he does! We have a fantastic video still here which is oe of the best video stills I think I have EVER EVER seen! I love it! Please let me know what you think! Also, the video is set to premiere very very soon and I can guarantee that the iPod video will be posted on my iPod blog as soon as it does!
This is the next single from 'Ciara: The Evolution' and features 50 Cent! I am so glad this was chosen over 'My Love' as the next single! Also this week video stills leaked but none of them show CiCi with 50 Cent which makes me think he won't appear in the video. Remember things aren't looking good for 50 Cent as MTV have stopped showing his new music videos after just one week and his new albu 'Curtis' has been put on hold.Enjoy these video caps:
I'm really happy that the 50 Cent album cover has changed cos' I didn't really like the other one! I also prefer what many are calling the 'Alternative' cover for Kelly Clarkson's upcoming 'My December' album, it suits the title more as the snowy white reminds me of December! Enrique's lbum cover is quite slick, like his great video's, but although he has great video's his songs tend to dissapoint!
Yet another video from 50 Cent, this time it's 'Straight to the Bank'! I am now kinda confused over WHAT his debut single from 'Curtis' will be?!? 'Amusement Park' or 'Straight To The Bank'? let me know please which one you prefer and also which video you prefer?
I quite like this video, even though it does sorta look like it was made on a budget! 50 does his usual and flirts with gorgeous ladies while rapping along to his joint! What do you guys make of the video? Wer you expecting maybe something better?
