UK REP'S NEWS - 28 AUGUST!

I know! I know! It's been a few days since I have posted news but it takes so long to create these posts and I wish I knew people liked these news posts and the only way to find that out is to make comments! So please make comments!

Things go from bad to worse with Amy! Another day, another story surfaces about her! Today her in-laws have appealed to the public to NOT buy anymore of her records and for her record label to drop! All this is so that Amy and husband Blake will not have money to buy drugs and will therefore try and get clean again! Amy's father however is of the opposite opinion and says that Amy's in-laws could do a lot more to help them themselves rather than making ludacrous remarks and reported that last week instead of having a meeting both families together, Blake's parents wet for a drink with Amy & Blake! Both sets of parents fear for their lives claiming that they wil die before the years out if they do not get help and when one of them dies the other will commit suicide! This is terribly sad and I do not want Amy to die! I cannot imagine the world of music without Amy in it! It may sound selfish that I want her alive to make music, but it is what she does best and everybody loves to see her at her best and I fel as though it will be a loss of life, all of which can be prevented sooner rather than later! What do you think of Amy's current state? I wuld love to hear your opinons!

In a recent interview with 'Interview' magazine Mariah revealed that her new album will be released in November which is really really close and I am so excited to hear her new material! Mariah describes her new material as a really run record with pro-woman morals, but this was not intentional! She also revealed that aonside Jermaine Dupri she has also worked with Swizz Beatz! It sounds as though the album is finished and cannot wait for the new single and the BRAND NEW video! I know one thing for certain! You will find it HERE first! Lookig forward to MiMi's comeback?

Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy/Cole has revealed that once the band split they will not in the future come back to the world of pop insisting that they will be older and will have to be renamed 'Old Girls Aloud' andwould like the band to exit on a high! Is this a slight dig at Spice Girls who have recently announced their comeback, and who als remain calling themselves girls? Is this more confrmation that their new album will be their last? Who knows! But having 5 album is a great achievement for ANY girl band! What do you think of Cheryl's latest comment?

It seems thatJay-Z threatened to kill Rihanna by throwing her out of a 29th floor window unless she signed with Def Jam records.Jay-Z was apparently so overwhelmed by Rihanna's rendition of Whitney Houston's 'For The Love Of Me' that he wouldn't let her leave unless she agreed to join the label. Talking about the incident, Rihanna said 'The audition went well. They locked me into the office till 3am, and Jay-Z said "There's only two ways out. Out the door after you sign this deal. Or through this window..." and we were on the 29th floor. Very flattering.' Is this a bit of an exagerration? I think so! I don't think Jay-Z was ever oing to really KILL Rihanna, it's probably Jigga's way of showing his admiation for her talent! I am glad that Rihanna did sign up to Def Jam as each album gets better and better and her career goes from strength to strength and Def Jam is one of those labels that keeps their artists grounded!

UK REP'S MUSIC NEWS - 22 AUGUST: BEYONCE SPECIAL!

I love it when Beyonce hits the headlines and is everybody's talking point so I want to share all the latest from Ms. Knowles with you in my UK Rep's News: Beyonce Special! Below is a video where you an see Beyonce talk EXCLUSIVELY about recording a new album in December due for release early next year/summer 2008! This is great news! She also talks about her recent career highlights such as movies and the tour! Enjoy the video:

...So? What did you make of that? Are you excited about hearing her new material? I sure am! But then again I am a MASSIV Beyonce fan and can see how some of you may be sick of seeing her everywhere! It does seem that Beyonce is addicited to work and cannot stay hapy doing nothing so, as she vows not to do any movies soon she has no choice but to go back in the studio!

Also it seems that beyonce had a wardrobe malfunction while she was on stage promoting her fashion line in Toronto last week! While singing her dress flew up and she flashed her boobs as she was not wearing a bra underneath! The video footage which is available all over the internet can be seen below (unfortunately the quality is not great but you can figure it out!) Enjoy the video:

So what do you think? Do you think it was a publicity stunt? Or do you think it was a genuine wardrobe malfunction? I believe the latter mainly because she is not the type of person to do a Janet Jackson (lol!) and then holds on to the dress for dear life afterwrads in fear that it would happen again! It is pretty funny to see and what with her fall last month as well, and the pyrotechnics drama, her tour certainly was one not to miss! And when I went to see her it was AMAZING! UK REP'S MUSIC NEWS - 21 AUGUST!

There is hardly anything happening in the world of music today! Hence no downloads! But, UK Rep always finds the news that you should hear! So here we go and enjoy the news! So please comment on your fave stories!

Kanye West has said that Justin Timberlake is his "biggest inspiraton and his biggest competition"! Kanye is quoted in the October issue of 'XXL' as saying "He's the only other person that gets an across-the-board response and respect level black radio, white radio. If Justin hadn't come out and killed the game, I can't say that my album, singles and videos would be on the same level that they're on. We push each other. I look at me and Justin like Prince and Michael Jackson in their day." Despite being number 1 in the UK at the moment he claims that he's "never cared about being No. 1." and prefers his music to connect with people rather than compete for record sales! Is Kanye getting a bit too big for his boots? Or is it just a slight dig at 50 Cent, saying that they are on the same level and getting to number 1 does not determine success! What's your opinion on Kanye? I'd love to hear it!

In an exclusive interview for BBC 1Xtra recently, R. Kelly revealed that he has made thirty... yes THIRTY chapters for his 'Trapped In The Closet' series! Is he going a bit over the top now with this story, at first there were only six, ten it reached twelve and he is now releasing Chapters 13-22 but it seems he is not content wth just 22 and has done more!!! I mean seriously, how much more can this story go on for? I am still eager to hear them all but I would also like the mp3's of the chapters to be released on a CD and not just on DVD! So Kels, if you're listening (lol) please release all thirty or so chapters on a CD! Are you looking forward to his next chapters?

Amy Winehouse has left rehab for a second time on Sunday (August 19)! This is not a good sign! I was really happy that she went back to rehab because I do fear for her health and do not want to lose her music and I want her to be healthy enough to record new material! Winehouse walked out of 'The Causeway Clinic' in Britain on on following a series of screaming matches with her husband Blake! I really urge Amy to go BACK into rehab and I don't wanna hear her say 'No! No! No!' (lol)! What do you think Amy should do? What do you think about the news that she has left rehab again?

Is Mary J. Blige pregnant? Well, acording to some reports the answer is yes!!! It seems that Mary who is 36 years old, and her husband/manager Kendu Isaacs are expecting their first child as early as early 2008! A close family member has revealed that they have been trying for a baby for nearly a year, having got married in December 2003, and have finally succeeded! Mary is already stepmother to Kendu's three kids from a previous relationship! I am really happy to hear this news and cannot wait to see te first pics of what I'm sure will be a great looking child! I was hoping that she wuld release an album later this year as planned but I think that her new album has to be pushed back for the sake of her unborn child! Congrats Mary! Yes, that's right! 'UK Rep's News' is BACK!!! Gwen Stefani has admitted that she does want to have more children but does not want it to get in the way of her No Doubt reunon which is set for 2008, so she has vowed put her baby plans on hold so that she can concentrate on the No Doubt reunion despite admitting that her commitments as a mother as well as her solo career has created tension within the group! In other Gwen news, it has been confirmed that Sean Kingston will be supporting Gwen on the latest leg of her tour! Are you excited for the No Doubt comeback? Please let UK Rep know!

Finally! After what feels like years! Leona Lewis has finished recording her debut album after winning the UK talent show 'The X Factor' in December last year! Simon Cowell promises that her debut record is as good as early Whitney or Mariah! These are very high compliments to Leona and in a recent interview Simon revealed that he didn't want to waste Leona's talent and release a mediocre record within two months and didn't care if the record took 2 years to make! The lead single from the album is called 'Bleeding Love' and was written by Ryan Tedder who has worked with Jennifer Lopez & Lil' Jon and was recorded while Leona was out in LA. Her album is still untitled and will be released November 5 in the UK and early 2008 in the US, making her the FIRST UK talent show winner to cross the border and conquer the US market! How excited are you for Leona's new material?

Gnarls Barkley were set to release their sophomore album in December but has had to be pushed back because Danger Mouse is too busy working on a new project with a band called Underground Animals to promote the record! Expect the second Gnarls Barkley record to be released in 2008! I cannot wait for their sophomore and am happy to hear that they are keen to promote the record! Are you lloking forward to the new Gnarls Barkley record?

Maroon 5 have chosen 'Won't Go Home Without You' as their next single and have asked fans to help with making their new video! The band will be featuring home movies sent in by fans. This is what the band had to say; "Friends, lovers, family, pets, musical instruments... you name it. Whatever and whomever you love, we want to include footage of it in our video. This is going to be a tribute to you and your life stories wherever they're happening around the world. Got any home videos of us in concert? Send them in too. Be creative, have fun, and spread the love. Thanks a lot." OK! It's an interesting concept for a music video! I just hope it doesn't look cheap! After the high budget video of 'Wake Up Call' I am a bit dissapointed! I am happy with the single choice though! What do you think?

Beyonce Knowles has revealed that her respectful attitude towards fans came as a result of an encounter with Will Smith. Beyonce was thrilled when she got the chance to meet Will Smith when she was 15! Beyonce noted how devoted Will Smith was to his supporters, and vowed to act the same way if she ever found fame. "We were the last people he met, and I said 'I don't care if I ever get that famous, I will always be like him'." I can speak from personal experience and say that Beyonce is devoted to her fans and when I had the privellege of meeting her once she really listend to me and enjoyed listening to her fans! So for that, I say Thanks Will Smith!

WHO'S THE DADDY?

Usher who recently got engaged to long time girlfriend Tameka Foster has announce that the couple are expecting their first child! According to a representative, the baby is due this fall so look out for that! More news as and when I get it! Although this will be Usher's first child, Tameka already has three children and this will be her fourth! Looks lik 2007 is going to be busy for Mr Usher! In a recent statement the couple said: ''We are extremely excited at this point in our lives planning our wedding and the joy that comes with expecting our first child together.". Isn't this great news?

NICOLE DOES WHATEVER SHE LIKES WIV T.I.

Her debut solo single 'Whatever You Like' is due to leak in the up and coming weeks so check back to my site for the mp3 of that! The song is also confirmed to feature rapper of the moment T.I., I hope his rap is decent and not like some of his recent collabo's! Other people set to appear on her debut album 'Her Name Is Nicole' is Akon, will.i.am and Diddy and possibly Timbaland! This is shaping up to be a hot record!

SHOPS IN THE UK WILL NOT SELL PRINCE'S NEW CD!

Shock horror for Prince fans here in the UK, as Sony BMG will not distribute his new CD 'Planet Earth' in the UK! The only way to get hold of a copy is if you buy a future issue of The Mail On Sunday newspaper! Sony BMG were set to distribute the CD in the UK but due to The Mail On Sunday's plan to give it away, they have pulled out as they cannot see anybody buying the album, therefore giving Sony no profits! What a crisis for the music industry! I will be getting my free copy though! lol!

Well, what can I say! It's official: The Spice Girls really, really are getting back together. The group will release a greatest-hits album and kick off an 11-show world tour in December, it was announced in London Thursday. The two-month tour will begin Dec. 7 in L.A. and include concerts in Las Vegas, New York City, London, Cologne, Madrid, Beijing, Hong Kong, Sydney, Capetown and Buenos Aires. "We are celebrating the past!" said Geri "Ginger" Halliwell at London's O2 Arena, when she and Victoria "Posh" Beckham, Melanie "Scary" Brown, Emma "Baby" Bunton and Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm were introduced on stage together for the first time since 1998. "I want to be a Spice Girl again," said Bunton. "We are like sisters and we have our arguments, but by the end of the day we get back together." Actor Richard E. Grant, who played the group's manager in their 1997 movie Spice World, introduced the band at the press conference after a video montage of their greatest moments played on screen. The tour "will be a proper good farewell to our fans," said Chisholm, who had been portrayed in the British press as the last Spice to agree to a reunion. "A girl is allowed to change her mind," she quipped. "We only started serious discussions this year. We feel the time is right. I'm very, very excited." "We are going to celebrate the past, do a small tour and that will probably be it," said Beckham, who had just returned from an Asian vacation with husband David after they said adios to their home in Spain on June 18. OK, so now you've seen the better$ performances, I would like to know what you think please! I personally think that Beyonce looked, danced and sang amazingly in a stunning gold outfit, Kelly did a good job as well but the cream was put on the cake when Michelle and Solange joined Kelly & Beyonce on stage and Eve making an appearance was great as well! Moving on to Robin Thicke, this guy is making a big name for himself now in the UK and this performance was heartfelt, I like it! Then we got Ciara who unfortunately looked better than she sounded, I feel that whenever CiCi performs this is the case, but she gave a great performance and it was good to see my fave song 'That's Right' performed with Lil' Jon! Then we end wiv T.I. who in my book can't do a thing wrong recently! Major propz to T.I.!

Will.i.am Sings Songs About Girls

Will.i.am is on the verge of releasing a solo album! The album will be called 'Songs About Girls' and will be released September 25! The first single, 'I Got It From My Mama (Genetics)' is gonna drop in the next week or two! He describes the track as uptempo and a warning to fellas! Unusually, he is going to tour theatres to promote the album and not only that but he is flying to Brazil to shoot a movie to accompany his promotion and it will accompany the album! He also confirmed a new Black Eyed Peas album for 2008! This is great news and I cannot wait to hear the new material and I will post the first single here FIRST! Source

Is T-Pain Gay?

T-Pain is apparently a homosexual, there is nothing wrong with this but I feel an artist should be true and not sing about topics they cannot relate to. When listening to his new album this week I noticed a lyric in his track '69' which said 'Hit me on the hotline and Ima slob on the knob' which is a well known slang term for a homosexual act! This shocked m but linked to what he said about Ray J's manhood a few weeks ago it looks like it could be true! What do you think?

Beyonce Might Reunite DC3 on Tuesday!

Organisers of this weeks BET Awards have announced that Beyonce will perform 'Get Me Bodied' with as a special collaboration. This seems like a logical time to reunite the trio as Kelly is also said to be performing! I would love to see all three ladies back on stage together! Would you? Do yout think this could happen? Lauryn Hill Puts Fugees Reunion On Hold For Her 2nd Solo Album!

Any plans for a Fugees reunion have been wel and truly scrapped! They have kept pushing back the release dte of new material and the buzz track 'Take It Easy' faled to make an impact! After a brief tour in the UK and the US she has decided to work on another solo album, this will be the follow up to 'Miseducation'! Are you clad to see Lauryn Hill back to work? Source

Mario's Album Pushed Back Another Month!

Just as I was looking forward to a July 30/31 release date for his third album Go! it seems the album has been given a red light yet again and will now be released August 20 (UK) and August 21 (US)! Remember when it was due to be released back in November, then February, then April, then June, then July 31 and now it's August! Somehow I doubt this album will ever be released! Maybe due to the lack of interest in his new single! I don't know but the tracks that have leaked so far, I like! What do you think of this Mario fiasco? Source

It has been reported this week that David Arnold, the composer of the three most recent Bond films is a huge fan of the Jazz singer's voice and says her album is the best record of last year, and would love her to sing the theme for the new untitled film due to be released in 2008! Source

Spice Girls Set A Date!

After years of speculation it looks set that the girls will re-unite for a world tour and a possible single. They will officially launch their plans at a press conference next Thursday (28/06). A memo has also leaked recently telling the girls not to fall pregnant as this will delay the process! Emma Bunton is about to have a baby and Posh has three kids already but wants a girl! Mel B has just had a baby and read more about that a few stories down! Geri had Bluebell not so long ago and the only member not to fall pregnant is Melanie C who's solo career is failing to succeed! Bad Boy Diddy Is Still A Fan of Cassie!

There have been many stories recently claiming that Cassie has been dropped from Bad Boy Records by music mogul (P) Diddy! At his recent video shoot for 'Through The Pain' Diddy assured us that Cassie has not been dropped and has been working a lot recently with Kanye West and Pharrell! Louis Walsh Still Has The X Factor!

For those of you outside the UK this story may not appeal to you as you probably won't know who Louis Walsh is or what the X Factor is! X Factor is Simon Cowell's UK version of American Idol where the competition is open to solo artists as well as groups! A few months back Louis Walsh was sensationally sacked by Simon Cowell throught the media and chose Danni Minogue and Britney's friend Brian Friedman as his replacements, it turns out however that after the first few auditions, Brian felt uncomfortable in his role and therefore Simon has asked Louis to come back to join the judging panel! Louis Walsh has said he is very happy about his return and says his relationship with Simon is 'Love/Hate' and cannot wait to start auditions in Manchester on Monday (25/06). Source

Eddie Murphy IS The Father Of Mel B's Baby!

After Eddie Murphy denied that he was the unborn baby's father when he split with Mel B (32), Mel B decided to take a DNA test to prove that he IS the father and should stick to his responsibilties! She gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown in April and listed Murphy as the father on the child's birth certificate despite not getting the DNA results until this week! It looks as though Eddie has some explaining to do! Source
