Hey everyone, this is defpoet. As you all may know, UK Rep and I have been working hard to make the blog more enjoyable each time you vist. So we've been thinking of new ideas for the blog, and as you saw the other day we added music news. I'm glad there was comments on the first music news post. Here's another UK Rep first! 'Music Reviews Tuesday' This will give you the opportunity to see our views on the upcoming CD's from artists you all love. So here are the first couple of reviews, stayed tuned for more reviews in the upcoming weeks!

Amerie / Because I Love It
Amerie is back with her third album entitled, 'Because I Love It'. Amerie uses different styles of music throughout this album, including (70s soul, 80s New Wave, Hip Hop and live instrumentation). The track "1 Thing" is included on the album as a bonus track, 1 Thing was the hit single from Amerie's second album "Touch". The inclusion of 1 Thing adds to the various styles of music used within the CD, giving this album lots of props (1 Thing was my favorite Amerie song). Stand out tracks from the new album include, "Hate 2 Love U", "Crush" and "Take Control". Amerie really puts her energy and soul into her 3rd effort, her new album gets a UK REP RECOMMENDED BUY!

Maroon 5 / It Won't Be Soon Before Long
A highly anticipated album, Maroon 5 returns with their sophmore album, "It Won't Be Soon Before Long". After the very emotional LP "Songs About Jane," Maroon 5 return with a more upbeat approach in their second studio album release, and they don't dissapoint, in the words of lead Adam Levine the CD is "sexier and stronger." The CD opens with a very high energy track, "If I Never See Your Face Again," then follows the first single off the album, "Makes Me Wonder." All in all the album is very high energy, Levine adds that the album is "definitely aggressive, upbeat and pounding." Other notable tracks on the CD include "Wake Up Call," "Kiwi" and a song based off the chorus of the Kanye West song "Heard' em Say" entitled "Nothing Lasts Forever," front man Adam Levine was featured on the Kanye West song. Maroon 5 is back, and I enjoyed listening to their CD and I haven't stopped listening to it yet! A UK REP RECOMMENDED BUY!
Hope you enjoyed the reviews, leave some comments and tell me what you thought! Maybe leave your thoughts on the albums I reviewed. Stay tuned for more reviews including a review of Bobby Valentino's "Special Occasion."
