UK REP'S NEWS: 04 July 2007

Thanks to one of my great visitors, I can now reveal that her BRAND NEW single 'Bad Girl (At Night)' will be released mid-August with a dancehall influenced album to follow! I know this is great news for very many of you as you were really feeling her new track when the download was up for a limited period! The past few weeks have been busy for Ms. Maffia because as well as appearing at several UK movie premiere's she has also shot her new music video, which you can see a sneak peek of here!

Yesterday, Kelly co-hosted TRL to mark the release of her sophomore album 'Ms. Kelly' which was released yesterday in the US and last week here in the UK! She looked absolutely great and I hope she gets the top spot on the Billboard 200 next week, and if she doesn't then T.I. should! To see pictures of Kelly at TRL just click here! So it looks as though Britney's new single could be released as early as this Saturday (July 7)! I hope that this is true as I am eager to see what her new material sounds like! If this appears not to be true, and a new single does not leak on Saturday, then I guess the rumours that no ew material will surface until 2008 are true? What would you like to believe? Do you think she can still have a successful music career?

After months of speculation, the answer is YES Christina Aguilera is expecting her first child with her husband Jordan! Her dad was the one who released the news, and this is what he said; "I'm so excited. I want Christina to achieve all her goals. I wish her all the happiness in the world." She is said to be thrilled and would like to follow the example set by Gwen Stefani who has mixed a great music career with being a great mother! This is great news for Christina and I wish her eery success in the world and cannot wait to see the baby! Congratulations!

Michael Jackson's long time rep, Bain has spoken out about his new album! He has said this; "He is going to release several singles prior to the album being released. He’s finishing up the first 3-4 now' and the singles will be released before the end of the year!" This is great news and I hope it is true! With Michael's album set to drop in November the singles are set to leak very very soon, so keep it locked to UK Rep for the FIRST listen! What are you expecting from Michael's new material?

Jordin Sparks has started working on her forthcoming debut album scheduled for release before thanksgiving, and among the producers snagged for the project are Stargate. Here’s what the American-Idol winner had to say about her sound; "It’s going to be a "radio friendly" album that mixes the pop/rock sound of inaugural "Idol" Kelly Clarkson with the R&B edge of Beyonce. It's hard to get at what my sound is, but I think that's what I'm trying to get." I am really looking forward to her debut album and am interested in hearing her sound! I love Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce so I think the sound will suit her as I believe she can do both sounds! Are you anticipating her record?


Looks as though any hopes for 'You Spin Me Round' as a Summer single has been slashed as her latest movie 'Blonde Ambition' has been pushed back from August 3 to August 31 by her father/manager Joe Simpson who believes there is too much competition in August for her film to do well! 'You Spin Me Round' was meant to be the promo single for the film, I hope this will still be the case as she has not done enough with her 'Public Affair' album! What do you think?
