UK REP'S MUSIC NEWS CATCH UP!

This is my post just to catch up on the HOTTEST music news that happened while I have been away on holiday! I hope you enjoy them! And if you think I have missed any HOT music news then please let me know in the comments section, as it is possible I have missed some having been away from the Internet for two weeks!

After a lot of negative press surrounding her third album 'My December', Kelly Clarkson has decided to patch things up with Clive Davis and agree to record a new pop album with a sound similar to her debut 'Thankful' and the album could be released as soon as 2008! This could mean the end of her career or it could enlarge her fan base! I am not sure whether this is a good move or not, but any new material by Kelly should be good! What do you think?

Kelly Rowland recently confirmed that she will release 'Comeback' in the US and 'Work (Put It In)' in the UK! She has already shot both video's and they are both set to leak soon! After dissaponting sales of her sophomore record this could be just what she needs! While I was away on holiday I fell in LOVE with 'Work (Put It In) and it quickly became the MOST PLAYED trck on my iPod (hence it is my track of the day today!) it has such an upbeat feel and sounds in a similar vein to that of Beyonce! What do you think of the single choices? Good? Bad? What would you like her to release next?

Timbaland over the past two weeks has made a huge impact on the UK! His album 'Shock Value' was released back at the end of March and peaked in the UK at a rather dissapoining number 18 position! Weeks and weeks went by and sales dropped despite having gained a numver one single with 'Give It To Me'! But then, as soon as 'The Way I Are' was beng rotated on the music channels his album began to creep back up the charts as did the single itself! And two weeks ago, the album peaked at a number 5 position which was GREAT news for Timbo, after threatening to quit the music industry. I also think this is good news for Keri Hilson as now EVERYBODY know her name and this should help her solo career really take off! And just when we thought things couldn't get better, last week he topped the UK singles chart ending Rihanna's record breaking 10-Week run, and his album peaked at an AMAZINGLY high number 2 spot! Could he ave the number one album next week? Only time will tell! Finger crossed? Are you happy for his recent success in the UK?

The Pussycat Dolls have unveliled plans for the Season Two of 'Search For The Next Doll' the follow up to the flop that was Season One! I mean Asia knew what she was getting herself in to! So why decide to pursue a solo career instead of join the band and ruin the whole programme! I don't think her solo career will succeed! Anyway, Season Two is set to air in the Autumn and the girls are now looking to form a new girl group on the show to avoid further embaressment!

Rihanna had an AMAZING ten-week run at the top of the UK Singles Chart beatng the record for the longest number one in the past decade set by Gnarls Barkley last year who made it 9 weeks at the top! This week however she was knocked of the top and dropped down to number a till respectble 3 with 'Shut Up And Drive' making a surprise entry at number 18 on downloads alone FIVE weeks ahead of it's physical CD release! This is great news for Rihanna after record bosses were thinking of scrapping the song for another track after it did not perform well in the Billboard Charts in the US! Also her album is continuing to creep up the UK Albums chart and is now at number 10 after topping the Album chart back in June! What do you think of her runaway success in the UK?
